Hi again. Happy Hallowe'en, everybody. (or All Saints Day, since it will probably be Sunday, November 1st by the time you read this.) :-)

I said at the beginning of October that I needed some time to get my life back in order. Well, I've been working on it. It took until the end of the month to find two possible places to live. One I'm not happy with, I do not like the lady who's sub-letting to me, I've found it frustrating just getting to the point of getting first and last month's rent for her, I can't imagine living with her for a year, but she's willing to take me immediately. In fact, she'll only accept me immediately. The second is much more easy-going, wants less in rent and isn't even asking for a key deposit, but wants to check my references and won't get back to me until Monday. I might be able to hold out that long, but if he changes his mind by Monday I'd be seriously SOL! I have a Plan B, too; there's a hostel in Toronto that gives monthly rates between November and April lower than rent from either of the two "Plan A" spaces, but I'd be sharing it with two other guys. That would mean either getting a laptop or a tablet or something or doing without the Internet, or a computer. (And my computer is starting to act a bit oddly, and other problems, so maybe I should replace it anyway.) It would also be less comfortable. Anyway, it's risky whichever way I jump and I'm not sure what to do.

Anyway, I'm going to be away for a bit longer, maybe a week, maybe two. To all my loyal friends, I'm sorry. I miss you. Please forgive me for being absent so long. If I'm not back by the 15th, please come and look for me. (kidding)
