horses are hard to draw. ESPECIALLY horse furries
i was just sorta thinking about that and how i would break things down into a real simple way of drawing them. this was much more an exercise for me in learning how i do things and where i can improve. I like teaching, so sometimes thinking about stuff in ways of a tutorial is beneficial to me.
this is by no means a "good" tutorial, and there are things that could use tweaking and drawn better or made more clear. it's more like notes for myself. but if anyone finds this useful for their drawings then that's super rad and is why i am uploading it.
also keep in mind this is just ONE way of drawing horses. it's 3/4 view cuz thats the most commonly used. and based off one type of generic horse face. (feral horse at top right was drawn after looking at quarter horses). you can get lots of different looks by modeling characters after diff breeds, ie arabian, draft, donkey etc. and then theres ways you could change it by making it more toony or making it "pony"
