+Attention to the details on the butterfly are nicely done.
+The shading on the characters and the dark ground under the tree look great.
Cons:
-It seems the background was sorta thrown in as a last minute thought.
-Details on things besides the two subjects (the cat and butterfly) don't seem to be cared for too greatly.
-There's not a lot going on to the right of the picture. Just empty space.
To improve on some of the cons, perhaps spend more time with backgrounds. Either that, or cut the picture down to more around the two characters. The style, like I said, is just adorable, but due to the empty space, I sorta found myself looking away from the piece due to lack of interest. This problem can be fixed with the first suggestion. It made me feel a little bummed out that you see all the attention that was given to the details on the butterfly and some of the darker shading to see it get diluted by the meh background.
Again, sorry if my critique sucks, but I figured I'd take a wing at it. It's still a cute piece to me. :>
