More portrait cuteposting/reviving forgotten character designs/sadposting, this time featuring an unnamed wolf guy I drew twice back in 2019 and never really did anything with.

I never really had any plans for him, but despite the simplicity and generic quality of his design, I did like him a bit. His appearance always made me think he'd be some sort of blue collar guy, but I also remember briefly considering having him be either a firefighter or maybe a construction or utility worker, careers that are definitely essential to any modern society but seem to be very rarely represented in art in general, much less furry art (unless fetishized, of course).
Also, when working on this portrait and a portrait of underutilized wolf scout/marksman Aileen Norris, I noticed the similarity in their coloration, which made me think a bit about having the two be related. A lot of my worldbuilding is sorta reverse-engineered like this, I'll design a character or have an idea, and later on make connections to other characters that in turn lead to further development of the characters and the world around them. It's about 50/50 whether any new character I design was designed with purpose (be that as a relative or friend to an existing character, to fill a specific role or position, or what have you), or just some one-off I did just because I had a random idea or needed to kill a few hours.
