i'm a bit of an anxious individual and tend to have trouble doing new things on my own. over the past couple months i've been pushing more and more to escape that. a while back, i walked down to the Pike Place market in Seattle on my own, something that i couldn't have imagined doing some time ago. everything is unfamiliar over there and i usually have to have somebody alongside me so i don't end up on edge and afraid of things, people, etc.

i still exhaust socially very quickly and have come to learn to not spread myself too thinly in that regard, but facing up to new ideas and unfamiliar situations isn't as scary as it once was.

Pike Place is busy, a bit rustic, has its share of shady individuals, smells like fish, and is worth seeing. the waterfront is nice.
