As I'm sure you've heard already, 2018 is Year of the Dog! I thought that it would be fun to pay homage to that for January's limited edition Patreon print with this piece inspired by Chinese paper cutouts. Wait, January, you say? Yes, I know. I know. As penance for being late, my Patrons are getting this one as a 8.5 x 11, not just the usual postcard size.

2018 has already been a wild ride, full of good and bad. I started the year with a bad case of the flu that made it hard to do anything but lay in bed and pray my food stayed where it belonged. Not long after I was starting to feel a little better, we decided to move suddenly. It was the right decision, since I'm fairly certain the reason I had the flu is because I spent the winter shivering in my old moldy apartment with no heat. The universe seemed to reward our good decision making with good things, though; the day after we signed the lease on our new place, we got a studio space to use for Cosmic Corner, and just a few days ago we were able to open up a tiny little store. Then a few days after that, I finally had my court hearing to change my name to the one I've been using socially for years, officially leaving the old me behind.

I know it's silly, but I hope I got most of the bad from this year out of the way by being sick right at the get go. I hope I can spend the rest of 2018 kicking ass with the new opportunities I've been given.
