As my time spent trying to sort myself is coming to a close prior to getting back to work, I've been working on my next project which is a replacement gaming rig for my 1090T Phenom II X6. While I'm going to an Intel X99 chipset and leaving AMD behind for this cycle, the most amusing component has been trying to consolidate all my data for a move from a multi-drive monstrosity to something that just has fast drives in it.
I didn't realize that I had so much adult material on my computer for one. I mean... wow. However, I also found a lot of my previously thought lost early artwork, including some of the art for Sandra Irontail from a table-top Aberrant campaign, a precursor to Samantha Jetfire from Pokemon X and finally Serenity Del Ranessa on Startide IV, and the initial artwork that I made of Indigo Szyreth from Startide III, who would later take over as my primary "fursona" when I moved to bat several years ago. I've been debating just uploading some of this artwork, but there's a few pieces I think I'm going to transfer over to my digital sketch computer and see what would happen if I redrew them with my current skillset. Some of the artwork was done in rather amazing fits and spurts.
It is always amusing when stumbling across items from another age, especially artwork wise. I have some old artwork of me being gushy about my first BF before he did a number on me. I have artwork from all kinds of memorable roleplaying campaigns bridging free form and online systems, not to mention table top. Some of it is placed at my work at the time, such as when I was a mechanic, or when I was just a student, such as a particular lonely, unfinished piece of me sitting at the Burger King I used to walk to between classes when I was enrolled at ARC.
Has anyone else uncovered ancient works, be they RP logs, artwork, or even projects and just thought about the experiences behind them?
