Back from Mississippi! Never exactly fun going over there, but this trip was particularly hexed, it seems. So for those that don't know, the reason I keep going over there is to help family gradually clear out and fix up the house my great aunt and uncle lived in for 50 years. They hoarded a looooot of things. Not that it was what you see in those hoarder horror scenarios, but they filled that house up with a whole bunch of things. On the one hand, they traveled the world a lot for several decades and collected all sorts of really interesting stuff from the places they visited. On the other, they were from the great depression era, and so were hardwired to save and reuse all kinds of things. It was generally organized and tidy, but yeah, there's a looooot to go through. 

Anyway, it's a beautiful house, that my great aunt designed herself (she was an architect) and I always loved visiting it. Thing is, it's really showing its age in some areas. Most notably, the wiring probably needs to be replaced. Multiple outlets around the house have stopped working or only work intermittently. We're actually pretty sure it's the fuse box. Yes, fuse box, not breaker box. And unfortunately the final straw is that the AC stopped working. So we were without AC the whole time this trip, and had to rely on fans and open windows. (Luckily the house has very nice, easily-openable windows all over the place) Nooooot fun. And besides that, there were a lot of other little annoyances we had to deal with. So yeah, frustrating trip. 

On the bright side, I did pretty much finish the next chapter of MHO. I just need to proofread it, then I'll be uploading it sometime later today. (Once I get time anyway...) I keep thinking I really should have named this episode "Perspectives" or something like that, the more I think about it. Ah well. More magical shenanigans incoming!

I'm hoping to do some more drawing this evening as well, but I'll have to see how I'm feeling. Just got back from a doctor's appointment. Good news is my labwork came back from last week and I'm officially back down below the danger zone for diabetes! Downside is that I'm gonna have to start taking another new med for my blood pressure. Starting to feel like a walking pharmacy here! At least the side-effects of the Lexapro seem to be fading, finally. (Knock on wood!) If certain very personal ones start causing more regular problems again though, I'm absolutely ditching that stuff and trying something else. 

I'm looking to get more art of my characters lately, besides just what I can draw myself. Been browsing around for YCHs that look appealing, and artists to commission. It's proving trickier than I expected to find the right balance of affordability, style I like (+ pose/scenario I like, in the case of YCHs), and them being open for coms. Ideally I'd like to get something special for MHO, but so far the only artists I've found that have a style that really strikes me as "Oh yes, THAT is perfect!" aren't taking coms right now. (And either never do, or very rarely do) So yeah, still searching. If you know me well enough to know what kinds of things I tend to go for, please send me artist/YCH suggestions! Looking for prices <$100 for personal art with my 'sona and such, but I can go over that for the special MHO pic.
